Parish Work

The Equestrian Order provides significant annual support to the Latin Patriarchate parishes.

There are 55 parishes with 88 priests in Israel, Palestine, Jordan, and Cyprus. These parishes serve ~90,000 resident Roman Catholics and ~100,000 foreign workers who are mostly Catholics.  Over 500,000 beneficiaries are reached directly or indirectly.

The parishes are one the largest Christian employers in the Holy Land (~1720 people)

The Christian population is increasing due to an influx of immigrants and refugees. These Christians are very poor and find themselves in crisis due to a lack of pastoral and humanitarian services.

There is a special emphasis on getting the youth involved in parish activities. Photos below are from services at OUR LADY OF FATIMA, BEIT SAHOUR
